Silence

One of the more difficult tasks in sound design is to have air sounds for exterior scenes.
Recordings where nothing big is happening but which gives you a sense of air, so your scene can breath.
This soundpack has 21 differently beautiful sounding air sounds, some just quiet, some with very light motion of wind.

Broad

Recording in the near of bare or conifer trees makes the wind sound more broad, steady and full.
We managed to cover everything from subtle air to stormy wind.
48 soundfiles will help you build that nice and smooth background track, or let it storm.

For more convenience we edited different intensity variations from some of the wind recordings.

These wind sound effects are meant to be creatively manipulated, and to enhance the variety of the original recordings, we have included 20 designed wind sound effect files that were created solely using the source recordings.

Our team put in extensive work to craft these designed sounds, showcasing the full potential of the Windhowler. They serve as a testament to what can be achieved with just the source sounds, adding even more versatility and creativity to your sound design projects.

Precision in wind sound recording

We used our wide spaced omni rig, which is 100% wind proofed. We selected Schoeps CCM2 microphones for recording this library. They provide a detailed clarity in the midrange that is very pleasing for wind sound effects in general.

“Motion Of Air” is the perfect companion to our Rushing Wind and Gusty Wind sound packs. The silent air and the broader wind sounds complements our natural wind libraries quite well.
